Description (Service) Health services combining traditional healing and western medical practices * mental health and addictions counseling * information and referral to services on-and-off reserve * outreach to First Nation communities of Chippewas of Nawash and Saugeen First Nation * locations in London, Chippewas of the Thames First Nation (Muncey), Windsor and Owen Sound 
Primary Care Services - physical assessments * diagnosis and treatment of health concerns * prescribing a range of medications * ordering diagnostic testing such as laboratory, X-Ray and ultrasound * disease and disorder screening tests * pre-natal and post-natal care * PAP tests * birth control * Immunizations * health care for children and adolescents * monitoring and treatment of chronic health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma * nutrition and healthy living program * smoking cessation * diagnosis and treatment of mental health problems 
Mental Health Services - Treatment Plans * Short and long term counselling, crisis counselling, intervention, and safety planning * community referrals * advocacy and follow-up * addictions counseling and support 
Traditional Healing - Traditional, holistic approach including one-to-one, family and community health and wellness * services include one-to-one sessions, traditional spiritual ceremonies and workshops dealing with stress management 
Supporting Aboriginal Seniors at Home - provides culturally appropriate care to enable seniors aged 55 and over to live safely in their homes * provide advocacy and referrals to outside agencies as required * visits with a nurse practitioner will occur in clinic and the home setting, based on the needs and abilities of the client 
Housing Outreach Services - assists First Nations, Inuit and Metis people in Grey and Bruce Counties find short-term emergency shelter, or a longer-term placement * Advocacy and community referrals

Public Comments SOAHAC improves access to and quality of health services for the Aboriginal community of Southwest Ontario (locations in London, Chippewas of the Thames First Nation (Muncey), Windsor and Owen Sound), providing holistic health services to on and off reserve, status, non-status, First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities
