Description

Description (Service) Provides support and social gatherings to veterans and their families and to the community.
  • celebrates Legion Week in September
  • annual Poppy campaign is held the last Fri in October to Nov 11th. Activities included tag days, a parade to the cenotaph on Remembrance Day, followed by a service at the cenotaph and comradeship at the Legion
  • proceeds from the Poppy campaign are used to assist veterans and their families, bursaries for education, literacy and poster contest prizes
Also operates a loan cupboard with a wheelchair, available to anyone in the community.

Eligibility Membership is open to the public - must be a citizen of Canada or a Commonwealth or NATO/Wartime Allied Country

For community events, there is no age restriction and membership is not required, all are welcome
