A comprehensive mental health program aimed at promoting and spreading awareness of mental health for young athletes. The program includes evidence-based mental health and suicide awareness workshops and fosters partnerships between participating sports organizations and local branches of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

Goals and Objectives:

  • Encourage open discussion and raise awareness about mental health and suicide within the sports community and the public.
  • Promote the mental health of young athletes and spread awareness about the benefits of positive mental health throughout the Grey Bruce community.

This program takes place at various locations in Bruce and Grey Counties.

Hours Office: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm

Areas Served Bruce County ; Grey County
Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up 
 
Coach, teacher or administrator for high school students, post-secondary students and/or minor sports teams (also appropriate for summer camps, etc.).

Fees No set fee for this program, however, donations to the Youth Awareness and Education programs in care of CMHA Grey Bruce are appreciated.
