Description (Service) Promotes sports training and competition opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities * Provides opportunities for individuals to: develop physical fitness * demonstrate courage * experience success * develop skills and friendship with their families, other special Olympic athletes and the community  
 
Activities include a variety of indoor and outdoor sports including: 5-pin bowling * swimming * curling * figure skating * bocce * track & field 
 
Athletes participate at local, regional, provincial, national and world levels

Eligibility Individuals with an intellectual disability, 8 years and up  
 
Individuals under the age of 8 may be able to participate in Active Start and FUNdamental multisport programs based on availability
